DECEMBER 11, 2017 Barrington Education Foundation Website: www.barringtoneducation.org/star-donations/ BREAKFAST IS AVAILABLE ON THE COUNTER OUTSIDE THE OFFICE. CHILDREN SIMPLY WRITE THEIR NAME AND LUNCH CODE TO BE CHARGED. Service Learning in Mrs. Carroll’s Class This year, as part of a former student’s senior project, Mrs. Carroll’s class will be participating in Adopt a Family through East Bay Community Action. This is a program where each group participating is assigned a family in need to buy holiday presents for to make their holiday season great. Mrs. Carroll’s class has “adopted” a family and in order to raise money to buy presents for this family, they have made crafts in their class to sell. They have made friendship bracelets, glitter globes, and other crafts that will be sold for $1.00 each on Thursday, November 30th during lunch for both 4th and 5th graders. Remind your kids to bring in money to buy these cool crafts on Thursday! CAREER CAFE IS BACK! Do you have a career or hobby that would interest students at Hampden Meadows? You are invited to make an informal, 30 minute presentation to a small group of students as part of our popular Career Cafe Program. The presentations will be on Mondays from 12:00-12:30. Be on the lookout for a sign up that will be coming via email. https://www.myschoolanywhere.com/volunteer-new.a5w?vol=HampdenMeadowsSchool9146 Thank you! We are learning about the use of alcohol and how it effects the body and the brain. Check out our neuron models! We continue to work on mastering the multiplication facts in grade 4. Here is an example of a class goal and it's monthly progress. Ask your children for their own personal progress graphs in math, reading or writing. |

Dear Families,
Please be sure when dropping off your children in the morning that you stop your car as soon as possible and allow your child to exit. It prevents vehicle backup on New Meadow Road. Children can walk on the sidewalk to the school front door. Also, please DO NOT pass any cars on the left in the circle. Children who walk and bike are crossing the circle with Mrs. Albano in the morning. We want to keep everyone safe at all times.
